• Email address — only if you voluntarily sign up for our weekly boosted rates newsletter. We never require an account to use the tool.
• Usage data — anonymous analytics about how you interact with the site (which stores you select, purchase amounts, which steps you complete). This data is aggregated and never linked to your identity.
• Session recordings — anonymized screen recordings via Microsoft Clarity to help us understand usability issues. No personally identifiable information is captured.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To send you weekly boosted cashback alerts (only if you subscribed)
• To improve the product based on usage patterns
• To understand which stores and cards are most useful to our users

We never sell your data to third parties. We never share your email with advertisers.

3. Affiliate Links & Cashback Portals

CashbackStacker earns a commission when you click through to cashback portals (Rakuten, TopCashback, ShopBack, Ibotta) and make a purchase. This is how we keep the tool free.

Important: your cashback rate is not affected by our affiliate relationship. The rate you receive is exactly the same whether you click through our link or go directly to the portal.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use the following third-party services which may set cookies:

• Amplitude — product analytics to understand feature usage
• Microsoft Clarity — session recording and heatmaps

These services collect anonymized behavioral data. You can opt out of analytics by using a browser extension like uBlock Origin.

5. Data Storage

Email addresses submitted through our newsletter form are stored in Google Sheets, accessible only to CashbackStacker team members. We do not store any payment information, credit card numbers, or financial account details — ever.

6. Data Retention

Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us. Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 12 months.
